The following is in my opinion something that will prove to be extremely important for our local economy, especially real estate for sale in O'Fallon, Shiloh, Swansea, Fairview Heights and Belleville, IL.
Mark Kern, the St. Clair County Board chairman, has signed the memorandum of understanding with the industrial authority of Batam, an island known for scores of electronics factories 12 miles off the coast of Singapore. The pact clears the way for direct cargo flights to begin between the two airports -- the only agreement of its kind between Indonesia and a U.S. airport -- though no flights have yet been scheduled.
