If you're originally from St. Clair County or the surrounding counties of Madison, Monroe or Clinton Counties and drive through Fairview Heights these days, you'll see a lot of evidence of economic growth...namely the newest addition of retailers in Fairview Heights at The Shoppes at St. Clair Square.
Among the stores that are featured at The Shoppes are Banana Republic, Barnes & Noble, Ann Taylor LOFT, Chico's, Coldwater Creek, Jared the Galleria of Jewelry, Talbot's, Aveda, Jos. A Banks, J. Jill. As of opening day, only one retail bay was completely unoccupied.

If this is any indication of what's coming to our area, growth is here to stay! The only thing that will promise to be a bit unnerving is the traffic we'll see surrounding the mall at Christmas time. If misery loves company, then those who experience misery while visiting during the Christmas shopping rush can take heart-they won't be alone...hundreds of malls in other parts of the country will experience the same gridlock. The only solution that I've found to work 100% of the time is to get your shopping completed by October 31st. Good luck!
